Stylish and intimate Hotel Can Moragues is an elegant 18th Century townhouse, close to restaurants and cafes, and a short drive to alluring beach coves and manicured golf courses.

Nestled in the centre of historical Arta, this refined retreat is tucked away in the Old Quarter, indulging travellers in the authentic charm of a dignified house and its ancient town.

Wander through Can Moragues’ unassuming entrance to be greeted by an immaculate interior of stately proportions. Antique furniture, local artwork and historical artefacts blend beautifully within the spacious rooms and wide hallways.

The house cleverly encompasses a delightful private courtyard with windows and balconies looking onto the peaceful space. This is a perfect place to enjoy a sunny breakfast, unwind with a good book or take a dip in the pleasant pool. The Moreno family have recently added a Sauna for further relaxation, and are always at hand with a friendly smile and insider knowledge of the best places to visit. With great beaches and golf courses within 10 minutes drive, Arta and its restaurants is a wonderful base to enjoy the least discovered side of Mallorca.

A short stay at this hotel allowed us to explore the nice town of Arta. Sympathetically restored old house with a pleasant courtyard and plunge pool, ideal for a short trip to the area. — P & HT

The standards at this small hotel were more than what we had been expecting. Our room was huge, spotless with a large bed. Breakfast was generous. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful. Add to this the nearby beaches and walkable restaurants and it made for a good stay, so many thanks for all the help with arranging. — J & RW

We just had a short break away, and were warmly greeted at Can Moragues despite it being late. We were pleased with this small family run hotel. It’s a welcoming place (with honesty bar, pleasant garden and plunge pool) and it made a nice change from normal hectic life. Our junior suite was spacious and immaculately kept. Thanks. — LC

Just back from a great few days at Can Moragues, a quiet, friendly and comfortable small hotel away from the masses. — BH

Thanks for your help with our trip. Arta was a good idea as it has plenty of restaurants and shops and is a real Spanish town. We hired a car as suggested ( good parking nearby) so we could discover some hidden beaches. A great introduction to the other Mallorca and we will be back for more. — YL

Thanks for arranging a great hotel. We didn’t know this area and thought it was wonderful. The weather was great so we explored some of the nearby beaches and eat out in the town at night (our favourite was Forn Nou which has a lovely little roof top terrace). — RW

We really enjoyed our stay thank you. Can Moragues felt more like a large home than a hotel. Arta was a great base, we went out through the day and enjoyed coming back and wandering out in evening enjoying all the lovely little restaurants. Breakfasts were good and the room was spacious with a view to the courtyard. — DF

We then moved on to Can Moragues for a further 2 nights which was a pleasant surprise. Authentic large house with lovely garden in the middle of Arta. The room was spacious (junior suite) and the owners son was helpful and friendly. We ate lovely breakfasts outside on the patio which felt like a real treat in October having left rainy England behind. We would return and stay longer as we both liked Arta and this part of the island. — E & WR

Can Moragues was a very pleasant small hotel. Our room faced the courtyard and was very comfortable. The location was excellent to eat out in Arta at night (there is a good selection of restaurants to walk to). We hired a car (hotel car park was a few minutes walk away from the hotel) and visited some nice beaches (Agualla, Mesquida and Torta). — GR

The hotel was delightful and relaxing. Just the right mix of traditional and modern. The rooms were warm, despite the weather not being as good as it could have been, spotlessly clean and breakfast was very good. Our hosts and their staff were friendly and welcoming. I would certainly recommend it to my friends. 8/10 — TH
