Stylish Convent de la Missio sits bang in the heart of Palma’s old town, and is a symbol of the city’s rising reputation as a hip city break.
Set amongst the maze of narrow streets, the hotel offers a minimalist oasis of white and neutral shades. The building is a converted monastery and has retained it’s calm, serene atmosphere whilst inheriting a new sleek modern interior. Inside is a labyrinth of taste, starting from the neutral brown leathered lobby all the way to the Zen influenced roof terrace! The high arched limestone ceilings from the old monastery can be seen throughout, and are most prominent in the spacious meeting and exhibition rooms.
The hotel has a stylish bar and distinct dining room, which spill out onto an outdoor patio, complete with giant palm trees and modern waterfall. The lounge is a perfect place to relax away from the buzz of the city. It’s a tasteful, comfortable room with oversized cream bean bags, giant boucle wool rugs and a large fireplace. For further relaxation, the basement’s former crypt has been converted into a whirlpool and sauna.
The hotel’s restaurant Marc Fosh is a ‘must try’ (whether you’re a resident or not). Named after it’s acclaimed chef, the restaurant has recently been awarded a Michelin Star and dazzles it’s diners with original and creative Mediterranean dishes.
