Hotel Jardi D’Arta is a hidden oasis right in the characterful old town of Arta. This small boutique hotel is in a converted traditional Mallorcan townhouse whose pretty façade hides a gem of a garden. The beautiful, lush and fragrant terraced gardens complete with pool, Turkish bath and hidden seating areas comes as a welcome surprise and is a great spot to relax throughout the day or enjoy an early evening drink.

The hotel building is part of historic Arta with views to the impressive San Salvador Church and down onto the rest of the old town. This small hotel feels like a welcoming and relaxed home. The interiors are stylish with a touch of Moorish influence. All 12 tasteful suites and rooms are individually furnished to combine the old buildings character with the comforts expected by the modern traveller.

This hotel takes great care that the friendly staff offer a level of service offered at the best hotels. George and his team are keen to ensure guests enjoy their stay, happy to suggest places to visit and to make arrangements for using the hotel’s wellness spa facilities. For those that like to keep their energy levels up, there is also an in-house state of the art fitness studio.

The restaurant and its pretty garden patio, serves light Mediterranean food using fresh seasonal produce, and is favoured by locals in the know.

Arta is away from the main tourist trail, yet has a lovely mix of restaurants, cafes and shops with a lively market on Tuesdays. It is also in a perfect spot for exploring fabulous secluded sandy beaches and the nearby rolling hills.

Jardi was the second hotel on our trip and it didn’t disappoint. We loved the atmosphere and style of the hotel and it’s location in Arta is a real bonus. Brilliant design inside and outside at this little hotel. From the outside it looks pretty average but on entering they have created something very beautiful. The photos don’t do it justice. Outside on different levels there are terraces, garden, pool and corners with comfortable seating. The food at the hotel restaurant is excellent so we ate there and tried out the nearby restaurants and bars which were also good. Our suite was gorgeous and airy with a very comfy bed. — GF

Just stayed for a few nights and I could have stayed longer in this hotel & region. The room was very nice and tastefully decorated and the garden was a real oasis. Beautiful place to sit and relax. A lovely boutique hotel and we were pleased we took your advice and went for a room directly onto the garden. The garden is the piece de resistance, being well thought out and immaculate with many levels and private areas and seating. The pool was always quiet.
