Pleta de Mar is an adults only 5 star unique wonderland of luxury and nature joined together in a stunning coastal setting. Perched high overlooking the Mediterranean, with two infinity pools, a beautiful Spa, a private beach and sumptuous suites, this is the ultimate romantic and tranquil hideaway.

Each Suite (Pleta de Mar only has Suites) is a detached building of soothing simple line architecture with its own terrace, and if your budget will stretch that far, its own private pool. The style and design of each category is very similar and all come with elegant interiors of soft neutral shades and contemporary quality finishes. The main difference in price between the suites is their location (the closer to the sea the more expensive), size and small details inside.

With all the luxury amenities, acres of space and the sea on your doorstep, most guests arrive here and don’t move very far. Access the sea directly from Pleta de Mar via a small rocky outcrop or there’s a broad sandy beach 10 minutes walk away at Canyamel. Just a 200 metres stroll away is the sister hotel, and equally gorgeous, Can Simoneta. The beauty of this is that guests can enjoy the contrasting gastronomic delights of both. Pleta de Mar’s Roc Restaurant serves up fresh fish and meat dishes on an open grill and Can Simoneta offers a more intricate menu of local delicacies.

Nothing could be better, from our friendly and helpful greet on arrival to the nice chat with the Manager as we left. It’s a luxury place that is designed for relaxation. The room was comfortable and well designed, the pool areas very nice, food excellent. We visited the sister hotel on a couple of occasions which was a bonus to have, and if you walk a little further, the beach at Canyamel is great for swimming. — JJ
