Centrally located in Palma, the cosy and intimate four star Hotel San Lorenzo is tucked down a narrow street in the old fishermen’s quarter of San Pedro yet is only a five minute walk from the city’s main shopping area and historical centre
San Lorenzo is discreetly set amidst traditional houses, but soon stands out with its charming entrance of decorative iron work and traditional patio. Inside, the three storey former 17th century manor house encircles a quiet, pretty courtyard which has the added benefit of a cooling swimming pool and lush plants.
With only nine guest rooms, it’s a small and romantic retreat in the heart of Palma. The hotel has a welcoming, homely feel and all the rooms are individually decorated in a blend of traditional Mallorcan and classic furnishings. All rooms are unique, with the suites having their own terraces and fireplaces, whilst the double rooms have either a balcony, direct access to the courtyard or French windows out onto the street.
For a quiet tipple, the hotel’s art deco bar is a relaxed friendly place, and a good starting point before trying out the nearby bars and restaurants of the lively La Lonja district. Breakfast is also served at the hotel, although guests can eat out and refuel in local cafes prior to exploring Palma’s nearby shops, sights and seafront.
